Your quiz, in the other system's format.

Add the quiz file your current system gave you. QuizMorph reads it and hands back a file the other system will accept. No account, no waiting, nothing to install.

Step 1

Add your quiz file

Drag your file here

Or browse your computer

A Canvas quiz export (.zip), a Moodle quiz export (.txt or .xml), or a Blackboard test export (.zip). We work out which one it is.

Nothing is uploaded — the conversion happens inside this browser tab, on your computer.

How it works

01

Export from the system you have

Both Canvas and Moodle can save a quiz as a file. It takes about four clicks — the steps for each are below under Help.

02

Drop the file here

We tell you what we found — the quiz name, how many questions, and anything that won't survive the conversion — before you commit to anything.

03

Import into the new system

You get a file back in your downloads folder. Upload that file to the other system the same way you'd upload anything else.

Help

Getting the file out of Canvas

  1. Open the course and choose Settings in the course menu.
  2. On the right, click Export Course Content.
  3. Choose Quiz, then pick the quiz you want.
  4. Click Create Export and download the .zip when it appears.

Getting the file out of Moodle

  1. Open the course and go to Question bank.
  2. Choose Export from the menu at the top.
  3. Pick the GIFT format (Moodle XML works too) and the category holding your quiz.
  4. Click Export questions to file and save the file.

Getting the file out of Blackboard

  1. In an Original course: Course Tools → Tests, Surveys, and Pools.
  2. Open Tests (or Pools) and find your test.
  3. From its menu, choose Export to Local Computer and save the .zip.
  4. In an Ultra course there is no test export — but files exported from Original courses work here.

No file to hand? Try one of ours: a Canvas quiz (.zip), a Moodle quiz (GIFT .txt), a Moodle quiz (XML .xml), or a Blackboard test (.zip).

Blackboard works both ways too: we read Original-view test and pool exports, and we write Blackboard's question-upload text file (which carries the questions and answer keys, but not point values). Anything we can't convert is named in the summary before you download.

Your file never leaves this browser tab.

There is no server to upload to and no account to make. Everything stays on your computer.
